Alyssa Leister is a graduate level student at Cairn University.

A message from Alyssa:

“Hi there, my name is Alyssa Leister! I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern, and I am currently working through my Professional Practice Year of my Masters in Counseling at Cairn University. I understand that life is continually changing and presenting constant challenges and obstacles along the way; this is why I am passionate about assisting clients in navigating these times and supporting them through it. Counseling can be a vulnerable step to take so my hope is to help guide clients to see how transformative therapy can be by working to create a safe and open space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and emotions. I prioritize authenticity in my approach and encourage clients to embrace curiosity as they acquire new skills and resources in their journey towards healing, fulfillment, and joy.

I am eager to address a wide array of concerns, including individual and couples therapy, relationship issues, life transitions, self-esteem enhancement, specific goal setting, family systems work, and much more. I am excited to expand my experience to better support my clients.”

Working with a graduate level therapist means your therapist is currently in training to receive their diploma and eventual licensure. Alyssa is currently working to complete her degree and pursue her license as a licensed professional counselor. Interns received thorough and intensive supervision from Nourish’s owner and clinical director, Lauren Bittner, LPC, NCC, CCTP, CCATP, SFW.

Sessions with Alyssa are $15. Alyssa also offers sessions at no cost for those who are unable to afford care.
