  • In your first session, your therapist will review paperwork, gather needed background information and start the process of getting to know you and building trust. They’ll recommend a session frequency and an approach tailored to your goals.

In follow-up sessions, you'll explore the connections between thoughts, emotions and behaviors, uncover past influences, learn practical skills and work together toward your goals and lasting healing.

After your initial evaluation and a collaborative goal-setting process, your therapist will provide a personalized recommendation for how often to meet. This frequency is based on your unique needs, goals, and the pace of therapy that feels most supportive to you.

Some clients begin with weekly sessions, while others may benefit from bi-weekly or a different schedule. Your therapist will continue to check in with you over time to ensure the frequency of sessions aligns with your progress and needs.
