“Hello! My name is Phoebe Yost. As a trauma survivor and neurodivergent therapist, I pride myself in being a safe space for clients to unleash whatever is holding them back. I allow you to curse, cry, let out the emotions that are being built up inside, while processing the root cause. I understand for many of us, we can feel unheard or not be validated by providers. My goal is to create a space where you are both validated and heard. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques. Our body is a well-oiled machine that requires all parts to be functioning as one, so you can be the best version of yourself. I believe humor is a valid and important means to cope and frequently use it in sessions.
My background includes drug & alcohol counseling, trauma informed therapy, working with incarcerated individuals, and working with varying degrees of mental illness. I am straight shooter, being the person to point out discrepancies while offering you a shoulder to cry on. Whether you are on a recovery journey, have certain goals you would like to meet, or simply need someone to vent to about life’s ebbs and flows, I am here to guide you through your mental health journey. We will explore where your core beliefs stem from and learn the skills needed to navigate life’s challenges.”
